Police rescue ACP kidnapped with his aides and family members

After four days in the hands of kidnappers, Emmanuel Adeniyi, an assistant commissioner of police, has been rescued by security operatives.

Adeniyi, the officer-in-charge of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCID) in Zamfara, was kidnapped along Birnin-Gwari-Funtua Road, Kaduna state and security operatives promised to ensure his freedom.

Legit.ng learnt that Adeniyi, who was kidnapped along with his family members and aides, was rescued by crack detectives.

At the time of this report, it was not clear under what condition the police officer was rescued, but the development has been confirmed by the security agency.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Emmanuel Adeniyi was abducted by some gunmen suspected to be notorious kidnappers.

New Telegraph reports that Adeniyi was kidnapped on Wednesday, September 27, while driving along Katsina/Kaduna road on his way back to Gusau the capital of Zamfara state.
