Late Hassan Hadeja, 80, Laid To Rest In Kaduna

Former secretary of petroleum resources, Alhaji Hassan Hadeja, 80, was buried on Tuesday in Kaduna after a funeral prayer at Sultan Bello Mosque.

The prayer led by Sheikh Baballe Wali was attended by hundreds of people, including former minister Umaru Dikko, AVM Hamza Abdullahi, Alhaji Lema Jibrin, Sen. Ahmed Aruwa and the secretary to Kaduna State government, Alhaji Samaila Yakawada.

Hadeja died two days after the death of his first wife, Hajiya Tasidi, at a hospital in Cairo, Egypt.

The late Shetiman Hadeja is survived by 16 children, including the eldest, Alhaji Ahmed Hassan, and the former deputy governor of Jigawa State, Alhaji Ibrahim Hassan.

Hundreds of people have continued to troop to the residence of the elder statesman to condole with the family since his death was announced in the early hours of Tuesday.

He died at his resedence in Kaduna after he sufferd a shock following the death of his wife two days earlier. .

Alhaji Hassan Hadejia was also a former undersecretary in the defunct Northern Region government, a successful businessman and chairman, Leadway Insurance Company.
