Boko Haram leader releases new video on Chibok girls

Ahmad Salkida, a Nigerian journalist, who was declared wanted and arrested by the Nigerian Army has said Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau, has released a new video.

Salkida in a Tweet on Sunday, September 25, said he would not release the video following his arrest by the army for releasing a previous clip.

However, the video surfaced on YouTube where the Boko Haram leader was seen talking about the Chibok girls.

Shekau also spoke about how the Muslims crashed Islam many centuries ago as a man was sent to Egypt to study the sacred of the Muslims.

He said the person came back with a copy of the Quran stating that so long as a person reads and practices the injunctions in the Quran they will be powerful.

The Boko Haram leader also stated that at a meeting many programmes were outlined which made the Muslims lose sight of what they are meant to do. The programmes include circular education, support and music.

According to him as a result of this many Muslims have lost their way in Islam all in the name of been educated.

It was would be recalled that the journalist in a series of Tweets on Tuesday, September 20, said he felt “duped” into speaking well of the Nigerian government after he was declared wanted by the Army.

He alleged that although the government claimed it was a misunderstanding, his life has already been ruined by their actions.

Salkida was declared wanted along with two others on August 14, 2016 by the Nigerian Army after he released an exclusive video sent to him, which he said confirmed that the Chibok girls were alive but some died in airstrikes.
