Mimiko Sacks Three Aides For Anti-Govt Activities

Ondo State Governor Olusegun Mimiko, on Monday sacked three of his special assistants with immediate effect.

The aides, according to a statement by the state Commissioner for Information, Mr. Kayode Akinmade, are Messrs Adesoji Ojomo, Chris Anota and Kayode Agunloye.

Akinmade said Mimiko took the decision following reports of dereliction of duty levelled against the aides.

He said, “There have been various reports concerning the activities of the sacked aides which negate the principle of the Dr. Olusegun Mimiko’s administration.

“There have been reports of the activities of the aides which cast aspersions on the government and portray it in bad light, hence their dismissal.

“Three aides were dismissed for dereliction of duty, absconding and engaging in acts that cast aspersion on the government as well as portray it in bad light.”
