- Sunderland considering move for Anichebe or Peter Odemwingie
- Moyes is in search of a replacement for Fabio Borini who is out for three months
- Both Anichebe and Odemwingie were released by West Brom and Stoke City respectively at the end of last season
The Sunderland manger, David Moyes, is considering a move for either former West Brom striker Victor Anichebe or ex-Stoke City player Peter Odemwingie.
However, Anichebe is more tipped to make the move, as he will be looking to reunite with his former manager after their time at Everton.
Moyes is in hot search of a replacement for Fabio Borini who is out for three months, after picking up a groin injury in a game with Southampton last weekend.
And according to a report on Goal.com, Anichebe is more fancied to fill into Borini’s shoes ahead of Dimitar Berbatov, Nicklas Bendtner and Peter Odemwingie who were all released by their respective clubs.

Moyes said: "We worked incredibly hard to try and get a striker in all through the window, some we had.
"This year, with only being to loan two players from Premier League clubs has had an effect on me being able to do more business in that way.
"Obviously the striking situation was one of them. We didn't get anything late on, which we thought we would do.
"We may have to go and look into somebody who could give us an alternative for coming off the bench or a wee bit of back-up through the season."
Anichebe has been without a club since leaving West Bromwich Albion in May owing to a rocky time plagued with injuries at the Hawthorns.
Same goes for Odemwingie who was released by Stoke City last season after a short loan spell at Bristol City.
