6 "demonic" things young people wear
Fashion to many is a form of expression; it originates from a deep level of their sense of self and how they want to be viewed by society. This projected image is fueled by the subscription to the ideal of individualism. Many opt for what they look good in, few develop their own style and stick to it and others get hooked on fashion trends.
Take performing artistes for instance, they appear on stage wearing what promotes the brand they are trying to develop but there's always the revulsion or disgust caused by overindulgence or excess and that seems to be where a lot of young, naive people pay allegiance. Most people just roll over and play dead to the god called fashion trends, sometimes, ignoring the principles of morality they ascribe to.

In Nigeria, albeit a nation with a variety of cultures and religion, morality here is an ultimate; Black is evil, white is good. Wearing revealing clothes is irresponsible (bad/evil), decency is good. With that reasoning, certain fashion items are classified as satanic and this is not a call for justification of these items. The universe is governed by rules and the rule here is: These fashion items are notoriously satanic and evil is not welcome here.

1. Bum shorts
Humans have the instinctive need for privacy, it is no surprise that Nigerian Christian mothers will rain fire on their girl child when she puts this on. when wearing this out in the public, it becomes a question of how possessed by the devil must you be to go against your own instincts.
2. Choker necklace
In the 19th century, wearing a plain, thin, red or black ribbon choker meant you were a prostitute. A plain black woven choker signified lesbianism. This resurfaced fashion trend is demonic expression driven from the pit of hell according to pastors and parents. You will even hear them refer to it as dog collar.
3. Crop Tops
There's a fine line between beautiful and beautiful nonsense. Putting on clothes is beautiful, putting on half clothing is beautiful nonsense.

4. Crazy Jeans
The irony of this confused fashion item is it is called crazy jeans just as it looks on the person wearing it. Have we evolved to a point where rags are considered clothing? or maybe we are nostalgic of the times when the first humans; Adam and Eve roamed the garden of Eden naked and are desperately wanting to relive that era.
5. Ankle bracelet
After getting dressed to go out and you add this to beautify your feet, a typical Yoruba mother will scream behind you: Shaka Zulu, the warrior of Chimurenga war. To Naija parents, this is both occult and demonic.

6. Trousers
The book of Deuteronomy says “A woman shall not wear anything that pertains to a man, nor shall a man put on a woman’s garment, for all who do so are an abomination to the Lord your God.”
