Social networking sites making waves for Nigerian artistes

According to Google’s report, Nigerian artistes seem to be turning to social networking sites to publicize their works. Showcasing their works to the rest of the world via social media appears the new means of getting out there. This comes to light as an event organized by Google, which only took place on Thursday last week in Lagos Nigeria, as a means of making way for Nigerian celebrities and social power players to become more informed about Google+ and all its perks.

Nigerian artistes and celebrities such as Dare-Art Alade, Dr Sid, Genevieve Nnaji, Naeto C, Jesse Jagz amongst others, are quickly warming up to this platform to showcase their work.

Other countries on the African continent have also taken advantage of this platform as one of Kenya’s prominent Gospel singer Juliani took his masterpiece “Exponential Potential” to this much talked about platform. The claim by some is that with the new Google+ platform, anyone can get first hand access to the latest hits by a variation of artistes and is thus a plus for everyone, celebrities trying to get their numbers up and die hard fans who want to feel as close to those on the platform as possible.
