The long strife against the chains of new age terrorism and crime seems to be making way in Nigeria as military forces in the country are bent on making serious progress.
Nigeria’s Joint Task Force (JTF) have once again apprehended suspected members of the radical group, Boko Haram as the early hours of Tuesday morning met with the raiding of one of the groups’ hideout in Pompomari, Maiduguri.
Confirmation by the JTF of the killing and arresting of suspected members of the Boko Haram sect on Tuesday highlights the need for awareness from the members of the public.
In a phone interview to the press, military spokesman, Lt. Col. Sagir Musa, confirmed the news adding that there had been a lead which assisted in the raid and apprehension of suspected members of the sect.
Aside the apprehension of the suspected Boko Haram members, Musa also stated that further finds including a vast number of ammunitions, weapons and explosive devices where found during the raid.
Other operations carried out involving the same Boko Haram sect in Wulari also led to the arrest of 13 said members believed to belong to the radical group and are under investigation.
It is believed that further leads have been in play as the JTF continues in their fight to bring terrorism and crime to a halt as Musa adds, that the need for the general public to be more aware of their environs would aid the safe, speedy and abrupt victory against this fight.
