Sokoto Donates 2,000 Rams To Pilgrims In Saudi

The Sokoto State government has donated over 2,000 rams to its pilgrims by paying their fees for the Hadaya sacrifice.

The state’s deputy governor, Mukhtari Shagari, who is also the state’s Amirul Hajj, disclosed this in Makkah while fielding questions from newsmen.

He said Governor Wamakko gave approval for the donation, and that the gesture was to appreciate the orderly and peaceful manner in which the pilgrims are conducting themselves in the holy land. Shagari, who denied the rumour that there was a minor fire incident in one of the houses secured for the pilgrims, further stated that free meals would be provided for the pilgrims.
