The Association of Table Water Producers of Nigeria, Lagos State branch, has debunked claims that the association had slashed the prices of sachet water to N60 per bag.
Chairman, ATWAP, Dr. Samuel Olabode, urged the public to disregard the publication by a group that called itself Concerned Producers of Sachet which announced the slash from N100 to N60, adding that the price remained N100.
Olabode said, “The association did not announce slash in price of sachet water as reportedly claimed. “Our association places high premium on quality instead of quantity at ridiculous prices. The price of a bag of pure water remains N100.
Those selling at N60 must have compromised standards and the public should beware. They are not members of our association.
In a related development, Mowe/Ibafo/Owode Zone of the association in Ogun State has debunked the reports of slash in price of sachet water with effect from September 17, 2012.
In a statement by the Chairman, Mr. Kehinde Isijola, and Secretary, Mr. Adefemi Olubunmi, the association urged members of the public to disregard the reports.
