Man Remanded For Allegedly Stealing Motorcycle

Musa Liadi, 27, has been remanded by an Oshodi Magistrates Court for allegedly stealing and selling a motorcycle belonging to one Jamiu Shittu (23).

“I bought my motorcycle in June 27 with registration number EPE 120 OB; on Sept. 2, I gave it to Musa on installment of N150,000, which we both agreed on N8,000 weekly delivery. He only gave me money twice,” Shittu said.

Testifying before the magistrate, Mr. Olagbegi Adelabu, the accused pleaded guilty to the charges but denied selling the motorcycle. Liadi said he was involved in an accident and was taken to the hospital by a police patrol team.

He said, “I was involved in an accident at Ilupeju and was taken to the hospital. When I regained consciousness I asked for my motorcycle but I was told to come back the next day.

“On getting to the police station with Jamiu on the next day, we could not find anything after searching everywhere.”

Adelabu said the accused should be remanded in prison in Oshodi till Sept. 28, 2012, when he will deliver his  judgement.
