Robin Ngalande might only be 19 years but the respect he commands in the Malawi flames team is unmatched.Ngalande who plies his trade for Atletico Madrid is arguably the best player in Malawi according to coach Kinnah Phiri.
In the match against Kenya Ngalande was substituted as early as the 38th minute due to the injury he sustained in training on arrival from Tanzania.
However coach Kinnah Phiri feels his star player will be ready to face Nigeria when they two sides clash on Saturday and he promises a ding dong battle
"You could see the kind of passes Ngalande was giving despite being injured. When we arrived in Nairobi the federation took us to a pathetic training ground and that is where he got injured - spraining his leg in a pot hole"
"Ngalande is the best player and I know by the time we will be playing Nigeria he will be back to his best andI can promise they will see what the young lad can do with the ball when healthy."Phiri told SuperSport.com
Ngalande only trained once in Nairobi and the coach took a gamble to field him against Kenya. Despite limping he was a constant threat to the Stars defence with his dangerous crosses till the coach wisely decided to take him off to avoid aggravating the injury
