Oke Pledges To Create 40,000 Jobs In Ondo 4 years ago 7

The governorship candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party in Ondo State, Mr. Olusola Oke, on Tuesday pledged to provide quality jobs through economic policies that would be targeted at the youth of the state.

Oke, who stated this during his campaign tour of Ifedore Local Government Area of the state, said the PDP, through the Olokola Deep Seaport initiative, would provide quality employment for over 40, 000 youths.

Oke said, “It is unfortunate that despite the level of work done on the Olokola site where the deep sea port is to be established, nothing has been done by the state government since the exit of the Olusegun Agagu administration.

“It appears the youth have been neglected by the present administration in Ondo State. Our government will complete the deep sea port and the Omotosho power plant.”

Meanwhile, the Olusola Oke Campaign organisation, has alleged a grand conspiracy to disqualify the PDP candidate from the October 20 governorship election through judicial means.

The Special Adviser, Media of the Campaign organisation, Mr. Kunle Adebayo, in a statement on Tuesday, said, “The plot is clear, though simplistic but lethal.”

He alleged that some members of the PDP would be “paid worthless coins and presented as disgruntled PDP faction, and used to file a case for injunction in one of the state high courts”.

He said, “This is the dirty underbelly of men in high places in our state who parade themselves as progressives and lovers of democratic norms.

“We are raising this fundamental travesty of the principle of justice and equity to expose the customary style of subversion, hypocrisy and endemic corruption.” Home Page
