The People’s Democratic Party (PDP), has been referred to as the only party that genuinely cares for the Nigerian masses.

The Minister said this while speaking at the launch of an empowerment programme for farmers in Oyo state, which held at Aperin area of Ibadan.
She declared the PDP as being the only true national political party with all what it takes to move the nation forward as well as deliver dividends of democracy to Nigerians especially those at the grassroots.
“I am saying here that the PDP is for the betterment of this country. Our party, that is PDP, is a national party which had enough structure for the benefit of all. The farmers empowerment programme is a PDP programme”, she said.
Oloye Jumoke Akinjide maintained that the empowerment programme for the farmers is starting in Oyo state with at least 70 farmers from the six Local Government Areas of Ibadan city namely Ona-Ara, Lagelu, Egbeda, Oluyole, Akinyele, and Ido.
According to the Minister, the empowerment programme for farmers, which is waxing stronger in the FCT was part of the programme fashioned out by the PDP administration in the country that is aimed at reviving and improving agriculture in and across the country to boost food production.
The Minister added that despite that the farmers empowerment programme is a PDP initiative, it will nonetheless benefit all farmers in and across Oyo state without irrespective of party affiliation.
“It is a PDP programme but it is not for PDP farmers only, it is for everybody in Oyo state. but the point is that it shows clearly that only PDP that loved Oyo state and its people despite that we are not in government in the state”, the Minister noted.
Speaking further, the Minister assured the benefiting farmers that they are to be assisted by the government in all the necessary areas for the first 3 years to enable them stabilize. She solicited the support and cooperation of the farmers to make the programme a great success.
