Kerosene Scarcity: Kano Residents Opt For Charcoal, Firewood

THE disappearance of kerosene from filling stations in Kano State has compelled residents to opt for charcoal and firewood for domestic activities.

It was gathered that unlike times past when residents used to purchase kerosene at some filling stations at between N400 and N450, the product has now disappeared and where available, had been allegedly mixed with fuel to add quantity.

Disturbed by this development, residents have resorted to charcoal and fire wood, as the price of kerosene has skyrocketed to between N500 and N600 for four litres, while the price of fuel now attracts between N700 and N750 for four litres.
