Buhari is fond of his grandchildren, passionate about Nigeria

Halima Buhari, the fifth daughter of Muhammadu Buhari, has once said that her father is fond of his grandchildren, passionate about Nigeria.

While talking with the journalists ahead of the last year presidential election, she said: “I have a seven year old daughter and he calls her ‘laraba’ which means Wednesday in Hausa, he plays and is very fond of his grandchildren and gives them traditional funny nick names."

Legit.ng has collected several photos that prove Buhari is a good grandfather.

Aisha Buhari has married his husband on February 2, 1989, a couple of months before her 19 birthday. She is the only wife of the general but she is not his first wife.

Buhari was married to the late Hajia Safinatu Buhari whom he divorced legally for more than two years before tying the knots with Aisha. Their marriage is blessed with five children namely Halima, Yusuf, Zahra, Aisha and Amina.

The incumbent president is a native of Katsina state, Nigeria. He was bred in a Muslim background in a town called Daura, fathered by Adamu and Mrs Zulaihat his mother. His father died when he was still very young and his hardworking mother took his full responsibility, he was brought up in a Muslim home by his single mother.
