Invoking the Freedom of Information Act 2011 (FOIA) bill, the group says their request is based on petitions from various Nigerians on the massive wealth of the officials.

The group informed the CCB that its action is based on the anti-corruption crusade of the present government led by President Muhammadu Buhari.

''Although, we are not under any legal obligation to demonstrate any specific interest in the demand for information under the FOAI, we make this demand pursuant to petitions from various Nigerians with regard to the unexplainable wealth of some political office holders (past and present),'' the group stated.

Among those the group listed for the information request were President Muhammadu Buhari, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and former president, Olusegun Obasanjo.

Others include all serving state governors and their predecessors, all serving Senators and House of House of Representatives members among others.

Interestingly, immediate past president, Goodluck Jonathan and his deputy, Namadi Sambo were not listed by the group.

The letter dated Monday, April 11, was signed by the group's national coordinator, Barrister Benedict Ezeagu.
