Islamist militant group Boko Haram today razed down a primary school in Maiduguri, the Northeastern Nigerian city where the sect has been most active.
Several sect members riding on a tricycle reportedly arrived the Gwange 3 Primary School fully armed with AK-47 weapons and set it ablaze.
Two classrooms and a Nigerian telecom tower were destroyed in the attack. There were no school pupils in the classrooms as they are currently on holiday. Calls to the Joint Task Force spokesperson were not answered.
