Three officials of the Kaduna Petro-chemical Company on Sunday died after their car crashed into River Jere in Kagrarko Local Government, Kaduna State.
However, the divers of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation deployed from Port Harcourt had already recovered the body of the driver.
According to the KRPC Public Affair Manager, Abdullahi Idris, the drivers were still searching for the bodies of the two officials and the car.
The corpse of the driver identified as Mallam Dahiru was conveyed to Zaria for burial.
“We are at the scene right now with divers trying to recover the bodies in the river,” Idris said.
The NNPC had confirmed the death of two of its workers and one other passenger in an auto-crash on Jere bridge along Kaduna-Abuja road.
They gave the names as Jibril Sulaiman,a Deputy Manager Finance,his driver, while the third person was the nephew of Sulaiman.
Idris said the victims were on their way to Abuja from Kaduna, when the Toyota Hilux plunged into a river near Jere, Kagarko local government in the night.
