1. Coldstone Creamery: At the name of Coldstone, every other ice-cream bow! Lol When you are at Coldstone, all other things do not matter anymore.

You can get your ice cream even in your favorite alcohol, chocolate brand, childhood sweet and in other amazing flavours and topping you can imagine.

At Coldstone, you are made to ‘create’ your own ice-cream flavor which makes the fun all-round fantastic! It is amazing how they add everyday snacks and sweet treats to their ice cream servings and has a big waffle like cone with chocolate around it if you like. You can always get a not- too-expensive scoop in Ice cream factory compared to other ice-cream joints in Lagos. They also have amazing cakes and other desserts.

You can try out the apple crumble, cookie dough and/or raspberry ripple flavours to fall in love more with Ice cream. They are located on Admiralty Way (E), Lekki, Lagos and their opening hours are 11am-12pm

3. Hans And Rene Gelateria: Although it was opened May 2015, this is one place you are sure to get some surprising flavours for your ice cream.

Have ever tried African cherry (Agbalumo) in ice cream form? Hans and Rene is ‘bad’ like that! Located in Radisson Blu Anchorage Hotel, 1A Ozumba Mbadiwe, Victoria Island Lagos, Hans & Rene is the new ice-cream place in town that’s hot.

4. Chocolate Royale: When you say ice cream, Chocolate Royale comes to mind! Chocolate Royale serves in large quantity and they are reasonably affordable.

You also have a wide range of flavours of ice cream to choose from. They also have desserts and a place called Cafe Royal which is a good place for kids, family, friends and couples to hang out. They open all days of the week and are located on:

5. Sweet Kiwi: Although Sweet Kiwi cannot be totally called an ice cream place, it is one for healthier frozen yoghurt. It is a self-service frozen yogurt bar, with quite a lot of flavours to choose from. At Sweet Kiwi, you are sure to combine fun with eating right together, which makes it altogether amazing!

They also have frozen yogurt brownies, and a good amount of fruits (optional) on your yogurt serving. They open all days of the week with their branches at Genesis Cinemas, The palms Mall, BIS way lekki and Admiralty Way (E), Lekki, Lagos just opposite the ice cream factory.

6. Candy Patisserie: With two branches on Kofo Abayomi street, Victoria Island and the other at Ikeja City Mall, Candy can cater for your ice cream needs.

Although they do not seem to have numerous flavours of Ice creams (at least not at the mall), the quality of the ice-cream they do have makes up for that. The ice creams are creamy with the ice cream cones almost as delicious as the ice cream itself.

7. Cream slices cake and desserts: This is a ‘go to’ place for ice cream lovers who desire varieties and not the typical chocolate and vanilla ice-cream. Cream slices cake and desserts are however mostly known for their red velvet cakes, which you should definitely try. They are located on 109, Ogunlana Drive, Surulere in Lagos.

8. Yoghurt Frenzy Desserts: Just like Sweet Kiwi, Yogurt Frenzy have quite healthy, smooth and quite delicious. You have the options of adding toppings.

They have a range of flavours, toppings, fruit toppings and nuts for your tasty and healthy nourishment. Their smoothies come in different flavours too. Aside from the Victoria Island store, Yogurt Frenzie Desserts can be found at other locations around Lagos including:

10. Super Yoghurt Hawker: It is now a norm to see ice cream hawkers on the street of Lagos. In fact, a sunny afternoon cannot go without you spotting at least 4 hawkers lurking around a corner at the same time.

It is loved by many who cannot afford the expensive treats listed above. Aside from being inexpensive, it is one of the fastest way to get a cold treat to cool off…and it has been ‘saving lives’ since forever!
