General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, National President, Christian Association of Nigeria, Ayo Oritsejafor and presiding bishop of Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo are among eminent ministers of the gospel expected in the Oyo State capital, Ibadan to pray against the insurgence of the violent Islamic sect and for the peace of the country.

This was disclosed yesterday in Ibadan by the presiding bishop of the Sword of the Spirit Ministries, Bishop Wale Oke while briefing newsmen on the church’s 30th annual Holy Ghost convention.

The bishop announced that the above-named men of God would be in Ibadan for the convention which is expected to be another platform to pray for an end to the ignoble activities of the Boko Haram which had left hundreds of innocent Nigerians dead.

Speaking on the state of the nation, Bishop Oke warned against the dire consequences of the introduction of a single N5,000 note as proposed by the Central Bank Governor, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, at this crucial time of the nation’s political evolution.

He posited that the proposed introduction of N5,000 note by the Central Bank of Nigeria can be counter-productive, he said since the CBN governor came on board, he had involved himself in so many misadventures.

Oke cleric averred that the move would further compound the economy of the country.

On the Federal Government proposal to dialogue with the terrorist Islamic sect, Boko Haram, he said  it would be improper for the government to enter into any form of dialogue with the group. Home Page
