The agent of Maicon has said that three clubs have expressed an interest in the player and, should he leave Inter Milan, it would be for either Real Madrid, Manchester City or Chelsea.
Maicon, 31, is the latest in a string of highly paid veteran players to be given permission to secure a move away from Inter as the Serie A club look to both rejuvenate their squad and fall into line with UEFA's Financial Fair Play Regulations.
The right-back has been at the San Siro since 2006, winning four league titles and the 2010 Champions League with the Nerazzurri but, speaking to calciomercato.com, his agent Roberto Calenda said: "There is interest from Manchester City, Real Madrid and Chelsea in the player.
"There is no possibility that he goes to AC Milan or Juventus. He has worn the Nerazzurri shirt for six seasons and has too much respect for the fans to betray them in that manner. He could also yet remain at Inter."
Chelsea's signing of another right-back, Cesar Azpilicueta from Marseille in a deal believed to be worth around £7 million, would seemingly end any chance of Maicon moving to Stamford Bridge, meaning a reunion with either Roberto Mancini or Jose Mourinho is now more likely.
Both coached the Brazilian at Inter while current boss Andrea Stramaccioni told La Gazzetta dello Sport he believes Maicon is still a fine player.
Last week he said: "In my view, Maicon is the best in the world but obviously there are different evaluations to be made, as there is more than just fondness or monetary value. All of Inter cares about the Brazilian as he is a fantastic lad, we'll have to see what happens."
