PDP Will Immortalise Pwajok - Party Chairman

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has revealed that there are plans to immortalise the late Senator Gyang Nyam Pwajok.

Pwajok who was the governorship candidate of the PDP in the governorship election in Plateau state died of kidney disease in India recently.

The acting National Chairman of the PDP, Prince Uche Secondus who made the remark while on a visit to Pwajok's widow in Jos, the Plateau state capital, said the party’s national secretariat and the entire PDP family will immortalise the late Pwajok.

According to Daily Sun, he described the late politician as  a great man with honour and integrity.

Born on March 15, 1966, in Jos, Plateau state, Gyang Nyam Shom, Pwajok, popularly referred to as “G.N.S” based on his initials, lived a greater part of his childhood in the city.

He attended the Jos township primary school, (1972 – 1977), Saint Murumba College, Jos (1977 – 1982), the School of Preliminary Studies, Keffi; (1982 – 1984), the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria (1984 – 1987) and the post graduate school of the University of Jos, where he earned a master of science degree in political economy and development studies in 1991 at the age of 24.

Few weeks before his death, the late Pwajok lost a case against Governor Simon Lalong of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the Plateau state election petition tribunal.

Meanwhile, Pwajok will be buried today, November 13, in Jos. The information was provided in a statement signed by Pwajok’s elder brother on Sunday, November 8.
