Bauchi Gets New AIG

Assistant Inspector General of Police Ibrahim Abdu has resumed work at the Zone 12 command of the Nigeria Police Force with its headquarters in Bauchi.

Abdu replaces Mohammed Abubakar who was appointed Inspector General of Police early this year. The posting was contained in a statement signed by the zone’s Police Public Relations Officer, SP Rita Inoma–Abbey.

She said the new AIG who resumed work yesterday, attended the Defence College of Nigeria and acquired a Masters degree in Strategic Studies. “The new AIG served meritoriously in different commands as commissioner of police Air Wing, Borno State, General Investigation Force CID, Abuja, Armament FHQ and lastly as commissioner of police, Gombe State, before his recent promotion”, the statement added.
