The newly sworn-in Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Raji Fashola, caused a stir today, Wednesday, November 11,  as he resumed work.

According to The Guardian, the former governor of Lagos state did not waste time after being sworn-in as he immediately assumed duty after the inauguration of the federal cabinet by President Muhammadu Buhari.

When he got to the secretariat, he was joyously welcomed with a loud ovation by the staff of the ministry. He stepped into his office at about 3.15 p.m. He was ushered in by Mrs Grace Papka, the director in charge of Human Resources of the ministry.

He did not waste time as he immediately had a closed-door meeting with the directors in the ministry.

Also, the state's Minister for Power, Works and Housing, Alhaji Mustapha Shehuri, also arrived at the complex where he joined Fashola and the directors at the meeting. See photos below:

Today, Wednesday, November 11, President Muhammadu Buhari inaugurated 36 ministers that were recently screened and cleared by the Senate. The 36 ministers were also given their portfolios. You can see the full list of the portfolios of the 36 ministers here.
