The party wondered why Governor Adams Oshiomhole will have to wait for seven years in the life of his administration before coming up with a probe which it described as persecution, The Nation reports.

It took the Adams Oshiomhole’s administration seven years to wake up from its slumber to begin what is clearly a case of political witch-uniting,” says the PDP.

This statement was made by the spokesman of the PDP in the state, Chris Nehikhare during a news briefing. He advised the governor to focus more on the pressing needs of the state such as fixing the dilapidated roads and flood issue.

Nehikhare explained that flood cases have increased in the state despite billions of naira that was expended to control the situation.

He added that the Oshiomhole would be leaving behind large number of unfulfilled electoral promises.

Recall Oshiomhole had ordered a probe of alleged removal of $31 million from the coffers of the government during his reign.

Igbinedion who had been prosecuted in the past by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for cases of fraud was decided after the State Executive Council (SEC) meeting held in Benin, the state capital on November 4.
