Woman Discovers Virgin Mary In Tree Outside House

A woman spotted the face of the Virgin Mary in a tree near her house inWhitefield, Greater Manchester, England.

Paula Raferty first noticed the unusual natural phenomenon when her neighbour pointed it out, saying it strongly resembles Virgin Mary.

The news about the weird tree image spread around the neighborhood sparking debates on what the face could be -- the Mary, the Mother of God or one of the 12 apostles.

The 'face' is thought to be an example of pareidolia, a psychological phenomenon when people interpret random images, or patterns of light and shadows as images of animals, faces, or objects.

Only last week an unusual cloud formation resembling the hand Of God appeared in the sky above Ashford in Kent, England, UK.
