Okada Rider Bags 3 Years For Stealing Meters

An Osogbo Magistrate Court in Osun State has sentenced 25-year-old commercial motorcyclist, Akin Adeyemi, to three years imprisonment with hard labour for stealing two electric prepaid digital meters.

Adeyemi, according to the charge sheet, conspired with other suspects now at large and carted away the meters belonging to two residents of the area on December 14, 2011, at about 10am at Akede Iyaloja Satato, Oke-Baale area in Osogbo, the state capital.

It was gathered that Adeyemi who carried a passenger on his motorcycle to the area of the incident, removed the meters after dropping his passenger.

But luck ran out on him when a woman sighted him and raised alarm. Adeyemi was then apprehended and dragged to the Oke-Baale police station.
