One person was killed, while four others sustained injuries in an auto crash that occurred at Ifo in Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun State.
The accident, which involved an 18 seater passenger bus with registration number XR 822 KSF and two tipper lorries with registration numbers: Ogun AE 249 DED and Lagos XR 969 BDG, was said to have occurred few meters away from the Ifo police divisional headquarters.
It was gathered that the accident was caused by reckless driving on the part of one of the lorry drivers as he suddenly rammed into the Ifo market bound bus which was stationary.
Witnesses said the driver of the lorry which rammed into the bus, loaded with vegetables and other farm produce, died on the spot.
It was gathered that the second lorry rammed into the other vehicles after its brake failed. The Itori unit commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Fatai Bakare, confirmed the incident to newsmen.
Bakare said while one of the crash victims died on the spot, four other persons were seriously injured and currently receiving treatment at a clinic.
