Edo State Jailbreak UPDATE: Nigerian Police Hunt Fugitives

Yesterday, an armed commando of 15 attacked a jail in Edo State's city of Oko, freeing more than twenty detainees.

The commando took advantage of end of Ramadan celebrations which kicked off last Friday and which end today, and low-level security, attacking the jail with hand grenades.

As part of operation "Thunderstorm" police have already recaptured close to ten fugitives.
