Meanwhile, Diezani appeared before London’s Westminster Magistrate Court on Monday, October 5, at about 10 am over charges of corruption and money laundering.

Sam Piranty, a reporter with the BBC, confirmed her appearance via his twitter handle.

Initially there were doubts that the former petroleum minister will show up in court, however, the tweet by the reporter on ground cleared all doubts.

It is recalled that on Friday, October 2, Diezani was arrested alongside four other Nigerians by the International Corruption Unit (ICU) of the UK’s National Crimes Agency. She was later granted bail after been detained for several hours.

Meanwhile, fresh investigations by Sahara Reporters have revealed the way in which Diezani squandered funds belonging to the Nigerian people.
