Find Out What Has Happened To The Ministerial List

Senate president Bukola Saraki after receiving the long awaited ministerial list from president Muhammadu Buhari's chief of staff, Abba Kyari and senior special adviser on senate matter, Ita Enang promised that the seal will remain unbroken.

Saraki on his official twitter handle said the list will remain sealed untill Tuesday, October 6 when the envelope will be opened and read at the plenary.

"Following tradition of NGRSenate envelope containing Thelist of Ministerial nominees will remain sealed till plenary on Tuesday," Saraki tweeted.

But a few hours after the trio met, reports flooded the media and various social media platforms on the number of nominees and names of those who made the list.

Twenty one people including a former Lagos state governor Babatunde Fashola, Chris Ngige, adviser to the UN secretary general Amina Mohammed among many others were said to have made the list.

However, in a text message conversation with Legit.ng Saraki's media aide Bamikole Omishore said the Senate president has kept his promise.

He said he could not confirm whether the names mentioned are on the list or how the name made its way to the public.

Omishore said: "The seal definitely has not been broken, as for the names flying around there is no way we can tell you it is leaked or just fabrication."

The president during his independence broadcast speech explained the reason for the late submission and incomplete list, he said careful and deliberate decisions were made after several consultations to get better results.
