Nollywood Veteran Joins Tinsel TV Series

Nigerian soap opera Tinsel has a new addition to its cast in the person of veteran actor Eucharia Anunobi.

Anunobi joins the soap playing the role of Claudia Ojeme, mother to Jared Ojeme and wife of Japhet Ojeme.

This is a welcome development as the show has witnessed a number of exits with popular names as Damilola Adegbite, Chris Attoh, Victor Olaotan and Uti Nwachukwu all written off or leaving the cast at one point or the other.

In a related development, the soap introduced Tayo Faniran of the Big Brother Africa fame to its cast. He joined the team on Monday, August 17 to play the role of Soji which was previously played by Gbenro Ajibade.

Before now, Tinsel switched the role of Angela Dede (Matilda Obaseki-Mozia) with actress Theresa Edem.

With Anunobi’s introduction she joins other seasoned actors as Kalu Ikeagwu, Iretiola Doyle and Bimbo Manuel on the set of Tinsel.

Eucharia Anunobi is a Nollywood bigwig. The Owerri indigene holds a degree in English Language from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.

She has a rich resume in the industry but is more often remembered by her 1998 appearance in the Nollywood classic – Died Wretched.
