The Lagos State Government-owned LAGBUS mass transit service on Wednesday said it would provide free bus rides to Lagosians during the celebration of Eid el Fitri.
The Federal Government has declared Monday and Tuesday, August 20 and 21 as work-free days to mark the celebration.
A statement by the agency’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. Durojaiye Olanrewaju, said the free bus ride would run from 6a.m to 10p.m across its 46 routes in the state.
According to the Managing Director of LAGBUS, Mr. Babatunde Disu, the free rides are its contribution towards a successful Eid-el-Fitri celebration.
He thanked Lagosians for travelling with LAGBUS over the years and wished Muslims a happy celebration.
