Kidnapped Doctor Regains Freedom

The Resident Doctor of the University of Benin Teaching Hospital, Dr. Scott Omorogie, who was abducted last Friday, has been freed by his abductors.

Dr. Scott was freed at about 9pm on Monday night.

His abductors left him at Second West Circular road in Benin City with his hands and legs tied backwards.

Family sources said it was passersby that untie Dr. Scott and gave him money to pay his transportation back home.

The sources said Dr. Scott sustained some injuries due to torture in the hands of his abductors.

It was not confirmed if any ransom was paid for his release.
