Assets Falsification Allegation: It Is Mischievous And Untrue- Saraki
Dr Bukola Saraki, the Senate President on Wednesday denied and described the 13 count corruption charge by the code of conduct bureau as frivolous.
This was made known while speaking with journalists at the senate after a courtesy call on him by the management of the Public Complaints Commission.
Mr Saraki said "most of these are frivolous and not true. This sounds like issues of affairs.

"If you say a statement over thirteen years ago, it has been there since 2003 and you wake up thirteen years after and you wonder. I have always done my declaration. We will continue to do our work here.
"There is no doubt about it that it is mischievous and It is not current. The issues there are not true. As far as we are concerned, we are not shaken. We will focus on what we have come here to do, elected by the people and by my colleagues to work for the interest of this country," he said.

Also, he took to social media to clear doubts that he has not been served to court on any of the charges. He went ahead to say that he declared his assets in 2007, 2011, and recently in 2015, and the CCB never wrote to complain of any inconsistencies
"Following the processes of the Code of Conduct Bureau, it is odd that it has taken 12 years to point out an alleged inconsistency.
"The Code of Conduct Bureau and Tribunal Act clearly state that any prosecution must be authorized by the Attorney General of the Federation.
"Given that the nation last had an Attorney General in May 2015, it is clear that the CCB is acting under outside political influence.
"Anytime you try to fight corruption or insist that the right thing should be done, the system will always come after you," he said.
He added that he is willing to cooperate when the case reaches to the tribunal and relevant government agencies and based the case of desperation to attack me at all costs, given my stance on National issues.
He also pledged to continue to practice transparency, accountability, and even higher standards of diligence than those required by the CCB.
The Code of Conduct bureau accused Mr. Saraki of various offences which includes false declaration of assets while he was governor of Kwara state, owning assets over his pay grade, having foreign accounts while holding public offices.
