Former Enugu State Governor Loses Wife

Nnenna Agnes Nnamani, the wife of the former Enugu state governor Chimaroke Nnamani, has died aged 47.  

According to a statement by the former governor on behalf of the Nwankwo Anike Nnamani family of Amaiyi, Amakpu Agbani,in Nkanu West local government area, the former first lady died on September 4 in Orlando, Florida, United States, after complications from sickle cell disease and a cerebral aneurysm.

In a statement made available to newsmen in Enugu yesterday by Nnamani’s media aide, Mr. Dan Nwomeh, the Ebeano patriarch thanked everyone for their support and prayers, while further burial arrangements will announced by the family.

Just recently the former governor was ordered to forfeit his assets worth billions of dollars to the federal government.
