Nigerian ex-footballer, Samson Siasia has been unveiled as the first Nigerian ambassador for the Keep Walking Nigeria campaign, sponsored by premium scotch whiskey brand, Johnny Walker.
The unveiling which was done recently at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos, had in attendance celebrities from all walks of life including Oge Okoye, Charles Novia, Mai Atafo and others.
Speaking on the reason behind the choice of the football star as an ambassador, manager of the Johny Walker brand, Amaechi Okobi said Siasia’s journey in life and the ways he solved so many of his challenges are values the Johnny Walker brand stands for.
‘Like many of us, he has faced obstacles and challenges on his journey, but his determination to overcome these hurdles to achieve his goals, epitomizes the Johnnie Walker philosophy to keep walking’, he said.
Other people who have been appointed as ambassadors of the brand include Sir Richard Branson, Kofi Amoabeng, Manu Dibango and Haile Gebreselassie.
