Abductors Release Kidnapped Anambra Monarch

Eight days after he was kidnapped in his palace by four gunmen after returning from afternoon church service, the traditional ruler of Ukpor Dunikofia local government area of Anambra State, Igwe Eze has been released by his captors.

The monarch was released at about 12:15am on Monday, but found his way to his palace at 2am yesterday Soon after he was sighted at his palace, a floodgate of friends and relations numbering over 2000 was opened among whom were clergymen, police, state security service (SSS) and government officials who came to show solidarity and sympathize with the monarch.
