Kwara Poly Expels 45 Students

The Governing Council of the Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, has approved the expulsion of 45 students from the school for examination malpractice and other related issues.

A statement issued by the institution’s Assistant Registrar, (Academics), Mr. Abubakar Yahaya, in Ilorin on Tuesday said the expulsion was sequel to the approval of the governing council of the school. The Institute of Finance and Management Studies had 30 students, while 10 were from the Institute of Basic and Applied Sciences, and five from Institute of Technology. He said the affected students had ceased to be students of the polytechnic, and warned them to stay away from the institution.

The statement also directed the expelled students to immediately hand over all the institution’s property in their possession to the heads of their various departments or appropriate authority.
