Bishop of Methodist Church Nigeria, Diocese of Lagos Mainland, Rt. Rev. Oladapo Babalola, has asked the Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, to resign due to his son’s involvement in oil subsidy scam.
Babalola made the call at a news conference to herald the 8th/43rd biennial conference of MCN in Lagos on Wednesday.
The cleric said, “I want to join other Nigerians to ask that the Chairman of the PDP, who heard what his son had done must step down from his position until all investigations are completed.
“Stepping down will give him more dignity and respect in this direction.”
He also urged the Federal Government to ensure that those found wanting were punished.
