Romelu Lukaku has told Chelsea he needs regular playing time, amid suggestions he only wants a loan move to another Premier League club.
Lukaku, 19, joined Chelsea last year, but made little impression on the first team. He has featured for the Blues during pre-season, with Roberto Di Matteo short of attacking options following the departures of Nicolas Anelka and Didier Drogba and the late arrival of Fernando Torres due to Euro 2012.
But it is believed the club want to loan out the teenager, while the possible arrival of Victor Moses from Wigan would squeeze Lukaku yet further. Fulham are reportedly keen on the Belgian striker and he has told the club he wants to be a first-team regular.
"What I learned last season is positive," Lukaku said in the Sun. "Training with great players improves you. Now I must play. In a few weeks we'll see what happens."
