The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has tentatively scheduled the resumption of camping of the senior national team for the Nations Cup duel against Liberia for Sunday, August 19, 2012.
Super Eagles spokesman, Ben Alaiya, quotes team Scribe, Dayo Enebi Achor, as saying that the date was picked with all logistics and other considerations taken note of by the NFF and the national team technical crew headed by Stephen Okechukwu Keshi.
This latest development becomes necessary following conflicting reports of the date that the national team will resume camp for the game against Liberia and a likely international friendly before the game that has been scheduled for September 8, in the Liberian capital Monrovia.
The team will camp at the now familiar Bolton White Apartments in the Abuja and training proper is expected to resume the following day after resumption to camp. Indications are that the NFF has not relented in the search for a friendly for the national team before the game against Liberia.
Till date Big Boss Stephen Keshi has kept his list close to his chest, especially as his four assistants have been scouting around the globe for Nigerian born players for invitation for the game and future games of the national team. The list of players expected in camp will be made public few days before the August 19 date, when the technical crew must have made up its mind on those who will make the cut.
