Boko Haram Seizes The Hometown Of Chibok Girls

Nigerian troops and local civilian vigilantes (better known as Civilian JTF) are in a battle with Boko Haram insurgents in Chibok, Borno state, with recent updates saying the town was seized.

According to the chairman of Chibok Development Association, Pogu Bitrus, the Boko Haram terrorists arrived in large numbers but where stopped from taking over the town by a combined team of Nigerian soldiers and the local vigilantes.

A serving senator from Borno state and a resident Pastor confirmed that Boko Haram men have captured Chibok community to AFP.

Boko Haram militants have at last seized Chibok, most villagers fled for dear lives, he said.

It was reported earlier today that members of the blood thirsty terrorists group, Boko Haram have again launched an offensive in Chibok community in Borno State.

Chibok is the same community where over 200 schoolgirls were kidnapped from the Government Secondary School on April, 14.

The Nigerian military has recaptured Mubi town in Adamawa State, northern Nigeria from the Boko Haram insurgents yesterday.

The crisis in Nigeria is deepening every week, but politicians appear more focused on next year's elections.
