Moziah Bridges is the miniature entrepreneur behind Memphis-based neckwear brand Mo's Bows, which he started when he was only 9.
"I really was a young dapper man and I couldn’t find any other bow ties that I really like," Bridges said.
So two years ago, at the ripe old age of 9, Bridges enlisted the guidance of his grandmother and began designing and sewing his own bow ties.
Since then, Mo's Bows has made more than $30,000 selling neckwear on its Etsy page, and has even introduced a charity tie, 100% of the proceeds from which go to sending underprivileged kids to summer camp. Or, to put it another way: This 11-year-old has earned himself, like, 10,000 allowances in two years, and is now being just generally awesome and paying it forward to other children in his community, all while continuing to build a viable online business.
What the hell were you doing when you were 11?
