The commandant disclosed this during a stakeholders meeting on anti-vandalism with the theme: challenges of combating the menace of vandalization in Nigeria.
Eze said 11 of the suspects have already been charged to court while others are also awaiting trial.
He described vandalism has a serious threat to the economy of the country and stressed that they will stop at nothing to stem the tide of vandalism in the state.
Also speaking, Business manager of PHCN Calabar, Engr. Joseph. A. Aikowe, attributed the lack of constant power supply in the country to the activities of vandals.
According to him, PHCN recently lost over 1598 mega watts of electricity to vandalism activities adding “ this culminated to the present load raioning in Calabar and other towns in Nigeria”.
