The Nigeria Muslim Forum UK (NMFUK) has donated foodstuff worth N680,000 (£2700) for distribution to victims of disaster in five states in Nigeria.

Publicity Secretary of the forum, Dr Aliyu Musa, said in a statement that the foodstuff was shared among victims in Borno, Yobe, Kano, Plateau and Kaduna states. He said, “it comes at a time most of the victims are struggling to survive in the affected parts of the country, especially during the sacred month of Ramadhan.”

NMFUK Ameer Dr Muhammad Jameel Yusha’u commended the efforts of the members of the committee set up to disburse the foodstuff for sparing their time and energy to ensure that those in dire need were able to promptly access it.

Committee members are Dr Shuaibu Danbatta (chairman), Malam Sani Makarfi, Malam Mahmud Dodo and Dr Mukhtar Ahmad.
