The Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) has tasked the federal government on the need to tidy up its power reform programme in the next six months.
The chamber said doing so will enable Nigerians see the benefits of the programme as well as restore investors’ confidence in the nation’s economy.
Its president, Mr.Goodie Ibru disclosed this yesterday at the chamber’s second quarter press conference in Lagos.
He said: “The power situation is still a major problem for business across all sectors. Expectedly, energy intensive sectors are worst hit. Energy cost remains a major threat to business sustainability. We are of course aware of the power sector reform being implemented currently by government.”
