Traditional rulers (Enigie) in Edo South have given Comrade Adams Oshiomhole an award as the “Best Governor since the creation of Edo State.”
The royal fathers who gave the Governor and his deputy, Dr Pius Odubu the award during a courtesy visit on him Thursrday said the state has not witnessed such tremendous infrastructural development since the days of the two-time Governor of the defunct Bendel State, Gen Samuel Ogbemudia.
Led by the Vice Chairman of the Association, HRH Edowonyi Ogiegbai, the Enogie of Siluko, the royal fathers said the Governor’s performance in three years has surpassed the expectation of people of the state.
The Enogie of Ehor congratulated the Comrade Governor for the successes achieved by his administration within four years, and wished him well for the next term. The Enogie said Oshiomhole has become the light of the state who will leave a lasting legacies with which the people will remember him.
The Enogie of Obazuwa on his part restated the royal fathers’ support for the Governor, saying they will not play partisan politics, but will appreciate and encourage what is good for their people. He said the Enigies in the state appreciate the Governor for all he has done.
In his response, Governor Oshiomhole thanked the Enigies for the award, saying he sees it as an incentive to do more for people of the state.
