With pop stars using incredibly high-tech special effects in new videos, competing for viewers' attention is certainly tough. But Misha B relied on a tried and tested formula to create a stunning visual effect in the video for her new single Here's To Everything (Ooh la la).
The former X Factor contestant is seen surrounded by plumes of coloured smoke after using 500 paint powder bombs for the video. Wearing a figure-hugging black outfit, Misha held her arms out to the side in dramatic fashion as she is encircled by the red and white smoke bombs.
The 21-year-old star wears her hair piled on top of her head in an intricate updo for the video, before later letting it tumble down loose about her shoulders. But creating such a stunning visual effect wasn't easy, and Misha had to ensure that she, as well as her dancers and crew, had protective face masks to wear during the shoot.
However, once again, Misha worked hard to ensure the scene went as smoothly as possible, spending 12 hours rehearsing in the ankle-deep water with her 5 specially-trained, gymnastic dancers. And following the water scene, Misha was wrapped in two dressing gowns with four industrial-strength heaters aimed on her to warm her up.
A fiery scene later in the video saw four fireman on standby in case anything went wrong with the pyrotechnics. Speaking about the shoot, Misha said: 'Here's To Everything (Ooh la la), is a toast to life! It’s a feel good song celebrating everything life throws at you. 'I loved making it and had been waiting to write a song like this for ages.
Here it is! Here's to everything!' Misha's new single, released on 28th April, follows her previous hit singles Home Run and Do You Think Of Me. Following the release of the Here's To Everything, Misha will be hitting the charts with her debut album this summer, which she has been working on for the past year.
